We are looking for a dedicated Controller to lead the financial and accounting operations of our organization based in Bronx, New York. This position is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining regulatory compliance, and managing the financial systems that support our diverse programs. The ideal candidate will play a key role in budgeting, auditing, and analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate financial statements and reports.<br>• Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and funder requirements.<br>• Manage and optimize cost, expense, and budget allocations across various programs.<br>• Lead and coordinate financial audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion.<br>• Develop, implement, and monitor effective internal controls and procedures.<br>• Collaborate with program teams to support financial planning and reporting needs.<br>• Conduct detailed financial analyses to guide organizational decision-making.<br>• Supervise the integration and management of financial systems.<br>• Monitor and improve workflows between accounting operations and financial reporting.<br>• Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting staff, fostering growth in attention to detail.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.<br>• Strong expertise in budget, cost, and expense allocation methodologies.<br>• Proven ability to prepare and analyze complex financial statements.<br>• Experience leading financial audits and ensuring compliance.<br>• Solid understanding of regulatory and funder requirements.<br>• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.<br>• Proficiency in financial systems and tools.<br>• Effective leadership and communication skills to manage and develop teams.
