Controller
<p>We are looking for an experienced Controller Consultant to provide hands-on financial leadership for a private club environment. This Long-term engagement is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who can quickly assess accounting operations, maintain accurate financial oversight, and deliver dependable reporting with minimal ramp-up time. The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of month-end close activities, financial statement preparation, and day-to-day accounting controls, along with the ability to adapt quickly and support leadership through timely financial insight.</p><p><br></p><p>The day-to-day responsibilities include:</p><p><br></p><p>• Lead the full month-end close process, ensuring deadlines are met and financial records are accurate and complete.</p><p>• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules for leadership use.</p><p>• Oversee general accounting activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis.</p><p>• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and operating results to help identify variances and financial trends.</p><p>• Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures that support compliance and reliable reporting.</p><p>• Collaborate with leadership and department managers to provide financial guidance and operational insight.</p><p>• Utilize the club management system to manage accounting data, reporting, and related financial processes.</p><p>• Step into the role with limited onboarding and stabilize daily accounting operations in a timely manner.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will have the following skill set: </p><p><br></p><p>• 7+ years of accounting or finance experience, including leadership-level responsibility in controllership or senior accounting functions.</p><p>• Prior experience in a private club, country club, or similar hospitality-focused environment.</p><p>• Proficiency with the Jonas Club Management system.</p><p>• Strong background in month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.</p><p>• Ability to begin contributing quickly with minimal training or supervision.</p><p>• Solid understanding of accounting controls, financial analysis, and reporting accuracy.</p><p>• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.</p>
