Program Assistant
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Program Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Baltimore, Maryland. This role is focused on supporting affordable housing initiatives and requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. If you are passionate about making a positive impact in local communities, this position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Provide administrative and program support for various affordable housing projects.<br>• Process applications, documentation, and case files to address operational backlogs.<br>• Assist community members by connecting them with housing resources and services.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient program execution and compliance.<br>• Maintain accurate records and documentation using systems such as Yardi and SharePoint.<br>• Travel between the office and project sites within Baltimore City and County as required.<br>• Support project-based activities with strict deadlines and evolving priorities.<br>• Contribute to the improvement of workflows and ensure timely delivery of program services.<br>• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and community members to address inquiries and provide assistance.
• Previous experience in affordable housing, property management, social services, or related fields.<br>• Familiarity with systems like Yardi or SharePoint is preferred, but training will be provided.<br>• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.<br>• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to community-focused work.<br>• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.<br>• Adaptability and reliability in managing hands-on responsibilities.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other administrative tools.<br>• Knowledge of Section 8 housing programs and HUD regulations is advantageous.
