Litigation Attorney
<p>We are looking for an attorney with at least three years of litigation experience to join a busy legal team in Baltimore, Maryland. This position is well suited for someone who wants frequent courtroom involvement, meaningful responsibility over active matters, and continued development as a trial-focused advocate. The role offers exposure to both high-volume District Court work and broader litigation matters, creating a strong platform for long-term career growth.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee contested matters from initial case assessment through settlement, hearing, or final resolution.</p><p>• Represent clients in District Court proceedings, including routine appearances for motions, hearings, and other scheduled matters.</p><p>• Handle landlord-tenant disputes and related commercial litigation issues with a practical, client-focused approach.</p><p>• Support and independently manage Circuit Court cases as assigned, including preparation for key deadlines and court appearances.</p><p>• Prepare litigation documents such as complaints, answers, motions, discovery requests, responses, and supporting briefs.</p><p>• Work closely with other attorneys to develop case strategy, evaluate risk, and provide thoughtful legal guidance to clients.</p><p>• Maintain an organized caseload while balancing deadlines, court schedules, and shifting case priorities in a fast-paced practice.</p><p>• Build strong advocacy skills through regular courtroom participation and hands-on ownership of legal matters.</p><p><br></p><p>Our client offers a steady flow of work, a collaborative team and an opportunity for court appearances and mentorship. • At least 3 years of litigation experience in a law firm or similar legal practice environment.<br>• Active admission to the Maryland Bar is required.<br>• Demonstrated ability to draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery materials with a high level of accuracy.<br>• Strong verbal advocacy skills and confidence appearing before judges in contested proceedings.<br>• Ability to manage multiple active cases efficiently while meeting deadlines and client expectations.<br>• Experience in civil litigation is required, and exposure to landlord-tenant matters is helpful.<br>• Sound judgment, professionalism, and a commitment to continued growth as a practicing attorney.
