CFO
<p>Our team is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial direction and operation of our organization. This executive will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and the Board, guiding fiscal strategy, strengthening operational performance, and supporting long-term sustainability. The ideal candidate brings deep nonprofit financial expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to translate complex financial matters into clear recommendations for a range of stakeholders. Someone with experience completing system implementations, strategy and compliance development, as well as building teams will be a great candidate for this position. </p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Shape and carry out financial strategies that align resources with organizational goals and future growth.</p><p>• Advise executive leadership and the Board on financial performance, emerging risks, and long-range planning priorities.</p><p>• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support effective decision-making across the organization.</p><p>• Oversee core finance functions such as accounting, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and cash flow administration.</p><p>• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports that provide meaningful insight into trends, results, and areas of concern.</p><p>• Establish and monitor internal controls, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance and strengthen fiscal accountability.</p><p>• Direct the annual audit and tax filing cycle in partnership with external auditors and other advisors as needed.</p><p>• Manage the financial oversight of grants, fundraising activity, and investment-related reporting, including support for Board-level committee review.</p><p>• Supervise and develop finance team members, fostering strong performance, continued growth, and consistent adherence to financial procedures.</p>
<p>• CPA or MBA designation preferred.</p><p>• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a closely related discipline.</p><p>• Strong command of nonprofit accounting practices, tax requirements, regulatory compliance, and fund accounting principles.</p><p>• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and external audit coordination.</p><p>• Ability to explain financial concepts clearly to board members, executives, and other non-financial audiences.</p><p>• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office applications; experience with Sage Intacct is preferred.</p>
