<p><strong>Robert Half</strong> is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify a <strong>Network Engineer (contract).</strong> In this role, you will lead the design, administration, and security of enterprise network infrastructure across both on-premises and cloud environments. This individual will play a key role in ensuring network performance, reliability, scalability, and security while supporting a growing, highly regulated organization. <strong>This role is onsite in Austin, Tx. </strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments.</li><li>Manage routing, switching, firewalls, WAN/LAN, wireless networks, and cloud networking components.</li><li>Develop and maintain network segmentation strategies to support security and compliance requirements.</li><li>Administer firewall policies, network access controls, and perimeter security solutions.</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex network performance, connectivity, and infrastructure issues.</li><li>Monitor network health, reliability, and capacity to support business growth.</li><li>Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, configurations, and change records.</li><li>Partner with IT, security, and engineering teams on infrastructure planning and continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul>

<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer, Network Administrator, or related infrastructure role.</li><li>Strong experience supporting enterprise network environments, including routing, switching, firewalls, WAN/LAN, and wireless technologies.</li><li>Experience designing and supporting cloud networking within AWS environments.</li><li>Knowledge of network segmentation, security architecture, and compliance-focused infrastructure design.</li><li>Hands-on experience with firewall administration and policy management.</li><li>Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues.</li><li>Strong documentation, organizational, and communication skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>CCNP certification or equivalent advanced networking credentials.</li><li>Experience within highly regulated industries such as manufacturing, aerospace, healthcare, government, financial services, or other compliance-driven environments.</li><li>Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.</li><li>AWS networking certifications or advanced AWS infrastructure experience.</li><li>Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.</li><li>Exposure to zero-trust networking, network automation, or cloud security best practices.</li></ul><p><strong>Contract Benefit Offerings:</strong></p><ul><li>Healthcare (medical, dental, and vision plans)</li><li>401(k) and retirement plans</li><li>Commuter benefits</li><li>Employee and vendor discounts</li><li>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</li><li>And many more!</li></ul><p><br></p>
