<p><strong>Robert Half</strong> is actively partnering with an Austin-based client to identify a Linux Administrator<strong> (contract).</strong> In this role, you will be responsible for administering Linux-based systems, supporting storage and virtualization technologies, automating system processes, and ensuring platform reliability, performance, and security. <strong>This role is onsite in Austin, Tx. </strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Install, configure, maintain, and support enterprise Linux server environments.</li><li>Manage system performance, reliability, security controls, and platform availability.</li><li>Support infrastructure technologies including storage systems, virtualization platforms, and related services.</li><li>Develop and maintain automation solutions for system administration, monitoring, maintenance, and backup processes.</li><li>Perform system upgrades, patching, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis across production environments.</li><li>Monitor operating systems, hardware, networking, and I/O performance to ensure optimal system operation.</li><li>Research, recommend, and implement infrastructure improvements and system enhancements.</li><li>Collaborate with technical teams to resolve complex infrastructure issues and support business initiatives.</li><li>Participate in an on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.</li></ul>

<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>5+ years of experience administering Linux-based enterprise environments.</li><li>Strong experience with Linux systems administration, security management, user account administration, and shell scripting.</li><li>Experience developing automation solutions using scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Python, or similar technologies.</li><li>Knowledge of server, storage, virtualization, networking, and client-server architectures.</li><li>Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Experience supporting system installations, upgrades, maintenance, and performance tuning.</li><li>Ability to independently research technical issues and implement effective solutions.</li><li>Strong communication, customer service, and collaboration skills.</li><li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.</li><li>Must be authorized to work in the United States.</li><li>Ability to work onsite periodically and participate in scheduled on-call support rotations.</li></ul><p><br></p>
