<p><strong>Data Center Technician (Decommissioning &amp; QA)</strong></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Ashburn, VA &amp; Manassas, VA (must be comfortable working at both locations)</p><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p><p>We are seeking a Data Center Technician with 1-2 years of data center experience to support server decommissioning, auditing, and quality assurance activities. This role involves verifying hardware information, auditing server inventories, cabling, labeling, and ensuring data center records accurately reflect physical assets.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Perform server decommissioning activities, including tagging and documenting equipment.</li><li>Verify server hostnames, serial numbers, rack locations, and asset records for accuracy.</li><li>Conduct QA checks and audits on hardware inventory, including random 10% validation audits.</li><li>Update databases and asset management records based on audit findings.</li><li>Install, label, organize, and verify network and server cabling.</li><li>Support rack cleanup, corrections, and hardware location verification.</li><li>Ensure all work is completed accurately and documented according to established procedures.</li></ul><p><br></p>

<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>1-2 years of experience in a data center environment.</li><li>Experience with hardware decommissioning, QA/testing, inventory validation, or asset auditing.</li><li>Familiarity with server hardware, rack layouts, cabling, and labeling standards.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.</li><li>Reliable transportation and ability to work in both Ashburn and Manassas, VA data centers.</li></ul><p><br></p>
