We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead accounting and financial operations for a portfolio of companies in Alpine, Utah. This position plays a central role in delivering accurate reporting, strengthening financial controls, and equipping leadership with meaningful insights for decision-making. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on approach to core accounting functions while also improving processes, advancing automation, and helping build a scalable finance structure for continued growth. Responsibilities: • Direct the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycles to ensure timely and accurate financial results across multiple entities. • Produce and review financial statements, highlighting trends, variances, and key findings for leadership stakeholders. • Lead day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger management, account reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, and cash flow monitoring. • Drive the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting efforts to support financial planning and operational performance. • Create and refine key performance indicators, reporting packages, and dashboards that improve visibility into business results. • Serve as a strategic finance partner to ownership and senior leaders by offering analysis, recommendations, and decision support. • Improve accounting workflows by introducing stronger controls, standard procedures, and more efficient operating practices. • Maintain compliance with organizational policies and applicable financial regulations, and coordinate effectively with auditors, tax professionals, external firms, and banking contacts. • Assess and introduce AI-enabled tools and automation solutions that increase efficiency, strengthen reporting accuracy, and support scalable growth, including future acquisitions.

• At least 3 years of experience in accounting or finance leadership, preferably in a Controller or similar role. • Strong background in managing month-end close and preparing financial reporting for multiple entities or business units. • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in a fast-paced environment. • Working knowledge of audit support, internal controls, and regulatory compliance requirements. • Familiarity with process automation initiatives and the ability to identify opportunities to improve accounting efficiency. • Exposure to AI strategy or technology-enabled finance tools used for reporting, workflow improvement, or operational decision support. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear business recommendations for leadership.
