Full Charge Bookkeeper
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in Markham, Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for managing comprehensive accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to a dynamic environment while leveraging advanced bookkeeping systems and tools.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.<br>• Prepare and distribute client invoices for products, services, and lease agreements.<br>• Perform reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial records to ensure accuracy and reliability.<br>• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and conducting variance analysis.<br>• Oversee payroll preparation and ensure timely submission of government remittances.<br>• Maintain organized financial records to facilitate audits and internal reporting.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies in billing and payments.<br>• Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to strengthen financial efficiency and internal controls.<br>• Provide support for tax preparation and compliance activities as needed.<br>• Execute additional accounting and administrative duties as required.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• A minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping within small to mid-sized organizations.<br>• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, and ADP Workforce Now.<br>• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.<br>• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.<br>• Effective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.<br>• Familiarity with payroll processing and government filings is an asset.<br>• Experience with tax accounting and computerized accounting systems is preferred.
