We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our clients team in Abbotsford, British Columbia. This is a long-term contract opportunity within a non-profit organization, offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing accounts payable functions with accuracy and attention to detail. Responsibilities:• Process vendor invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely entry into the accounting system.• Prepare payments and manage check runs in compliance with organizational policies.• Address a backlog of invoices, ensuring all are reviewed and processed efficiently.• Verify and approve accounts payable transactions while adhering to internal controls.• Collaborate with team members to ensure proper account coding and documentation.• Maintain meticulous records and documentation for audit purposes.• Adapt to evolving processes and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic work environment.• Assist with bank reconciliations and other financial duties as required.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a similar role. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Blackbaud software. • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple steps in the accounts payable process. • Experience with invoice coding and payment preparation. • Demonstrated ability to handle high transaction volumes efficiently. • Familiarity with accounts payable approvals and bank reconciliations. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills. • Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team.
