<p>We are looking for an experienced Intermediate Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In this role, you will manage the full accounting cycle, including preparing financial statements independently each month. This position offers an opportunity to work autonomously and contribute significantly to the organization’s financial management.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Prepare monthly financial statements independently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.</p><p>• Oversee the full accounting cycle, including reconciliations, accounts payable, and other related tasks.</p><p>• Manage and maintain accounting software systems to ensure data integrity and compliance.</p><p>• Collaborate with external accountants to support year-end audits and reporting requirements.</p><p>• Conduct financial reviews and analyses to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies in all financial processes.</p><p>• Utilize systems such as Xero to streamline accounting functions.</p><p>• Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial efficiency and reporting.</p><p>• Handle financial audits and provide necessary documentation to external auditors.</p><p>• Address accounting inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.</p>

<p>• Proven experience managing the full accounting cycle, including financial statement preparation.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of reconciliations, accounts payable, and other core accounting functions.</p><p>• Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial reporting tasks.</p><p>• Familiarity with audit processes and year-end reporting requirements.</p><p>• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in managing financial data.</p><p>• Strong understanding of accounting standards and best practices.</p><p>• Effective communication skills to liaise with external accountants and internal stakeholders.</p>
