We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a growing company. Responsibilities:• Oversee the preparation and submission of weekly payroll using Payworks.• Record and allocate expenses and payroll by project in QuickBooks Online.• Generate and issue timely sales invoices for various projects.• Manage deposits and accounts receivable to ensure accurate tracking.• Update the general ledger with bank transactions and perform monthly reconciliations.• Monitor and manage cash flow to support business operations.• Track union dues for employees, reconcile them monthly, and submit payments to the union.• Prepare and remit monthly GST and PST returns.• Handle annual reporting requirements and assist external accountants with year-end preparation.

• A minimum of five years of experience in accounting, with a focus on job costing. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Payworks. • Strong understanding of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes. • Experience in managing union dues and reconciling submissions. • Ability to handle GST and PST tax filings and remittances. • Skilled in cash flow management and financial tracking. • Familiarity with year-end reporting and coordination with external accountants. • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines.
