Payment Operations Administrator
<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented Payment Operations Administrator to join a financial services team in Vancouver, British Columbia on a Long-term Contract. In this role, you will help keep payment activities running smoothly by supporting transaction handling, reconciliations, reporting, and day-to-day administrative coordination. This opportunity is well suited to someone who enjoys accurate financial processing, works well with deadlines, and can contribute in a fast-paced operational environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Process daily wire payments, fund transfers, and cheque-related activities with a strong focus on accuracy and timeliness.</p><p>• Reconcile accounts and payment records, identify variances, and follow through on outstanding items until resolved.</p><p>• Review transaction exceptions and investigate discrepancies by working with internal teams and external contacts as needed.</p><p>• Prepare operational logs, payment summaries, and supporting documentation to maintain clear and complete records.</p><p>• Provide administrative support for month-end activities and other routine financial operations.</p><p>• Apply established controls, procedures, and compliance standards throughout all payment processing tasks.</p><p>• Support in-office cheque issuance requirements and help manage workload coverage for time-sensitive processing.</p><p>• Contribute to payment administration tasks that allow senior team members to focus on more complex reconciliation and analysis work.</p>
• Experience in payment operations, accounts payable, banking operations, or a similar financial administration role.<br>• Hands-on ability to perform account reconciliations and investigate transactional discrepancies.<br>• Proficiency with cheque processing, invoice-related administration, and high-volume data entry.<br>• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and reconciliation tasks.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage time-sensitive transactions with accuracy.<br>• Comfortable working in a hybrid or on-site setting when business needs require physical cheque processing.<br>• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
