Accounts Receivable Clerk
<p>Our client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their team in Richmond, British Columbia. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment within the food and food processing industry. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing daily financial transactions and maintaining strong relationships with clients.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Process and review daily payments, including credit card receipts and cheque pickups, to ensure accuracy and timeliness.</p><p>• Manage and monitor accounts receivable transactions, including posting invoices and credit memos, while adhering to company policies.</p><p>• Prepare and distribute aging reports on Tuesdays and customer statements on Thursdays to maintain up-to-date account records.</p><p>• Handle export customer accounts and provide support for international transactions as required.</p><p>• Reconcile account discrepancies and communicate with clients to resolve payment delays or disputes with a high level of care and attention.</p><p>• Collaborate with the accounts payable team and senior accountant to ensure smooth financial operations.</p><p>• Maintain accurate records of all transactions using the in-house system and Excel spreadsheets.</p><p>• Provide excellent customer service, accommodating clients who speak Cantonese or Mandarin when necessary.</p><p>• Monitor and report on overdue accounts, taking appropriate action to ensure timely collections.</p><p>• Assist in improving processes and workflows to enhance the efficiency of the accounts receivable function.</p>
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role.<br>• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel and other financial systems for managing transactions and reports.<br>• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage high-volume daily invoicing and payments.<br>• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to handle client interactions effectively.<br>• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.<br>• Familiarity with financial reporting and credit management processes is an asset.<br>• Customer service experience, with the ability to work with diverse clients, including those who speak Cantonese or Mandarin.<br>• A proactive and problem-solving mindset to address and resolve account issues efficiently.
