Legal Secretary
We are looking for a skilled and organized Legal Secretary to join our team in Oakville, Ontario. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic legal environment while honing your administrative skills. In this role, you will support the daily operations of the office, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in managing legal documentation and client interactions.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Organize and maintain legal documents, ensuring all files are accurately sorted and accessible.<br>• Manage and update the calendar for meetings, appointments, and deadlines.<br>• Assist with data entry tasks, ensuring information is recorded promptly and correctly.<br>• Coordinate and schedule meetings, ensuring all participants are informed and prepared.<br>• Interact with clients in-person and via other communication channels, providing a detail-oriented and friendly experience.<br>• Support the preparation and formatting of pleadings, litigation documents, and other legal correspondence.<br>• Utilize software tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Case Management Software, and Aderant to streamline tasks.<br>• Perform photocopying, scanning, and other administrative tasks to support legal operations.<br>• Ensure the office environment is organized and conducive to productivity by managing supplies and resources.<br>• Work independently to complete tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or legal support role.<br>• Proficiency with tools such as Adobe Acrobat, Aderant, and Case Management Software.<br>• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.<br>• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and team members.<br>• High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and scheduling.<br>• Ability to work independently and maintain productivity with minimal supervision.<br>• Friendly and detail-oriented demeanor to foster positive client relationships.<br>• Experience in a legal environment is an asset but not mandatory.
