<p><strong>Interim Controller / Senior Accountant</strong></p><p><strong>Location</strong>: Markham, ON</p><p><strong>Work Model</strong>: Onsite, 5 days per week</p><p><strong>Duration</strong>: 3-month contract (potential for extension)</p><p><strong>Position Overview</strong></p><p>Our client in the <strong>CPG/manufacturing space</strong> is seeking a <strong>Controller / Senior Accountant </strong>for an immediate contract need. Working closely with the <strong>Director of Financial Reporting</strong>, this person will help drive consolidated reporting, support the integration businesses, and assist with leadership reporting.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead consolidated financial reporting across multiple operating divisions and plant locations</li><li>Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including review of reporting accuracy and completeness</li><li>Coordinate financial inputs from divisional and plant finance teams and ensure timely submission of reporting packages</li><li>Help transition newly integrated divisions into the company’s existing reporting framework and standards</li><li>Prepare and analyze reporting for senior leadership, including recurring operational and cash flow reporting</li><li>Perform reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve reporting issues across business units</li><li>Support process improvements related to reporting, consolidation, and financial data integrity</li><li>Partner with internal finance teams and contribute to audit support and broader controllership priorities as needed</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in <strong>financial reporting, consolidation, or controllership</strong> within a large, multi-entity organization</li><li>Strong background in<strong> manufacturing, CPG, or other plant-based environments</strong></li><li>Proven ability to work across multiple business units, controllers, and operating teams in a decentralized structure</li><li>Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with reporting tools and data from multiple ERP systems</li><li>Experience with tools such as Power BI, JDE, or similar financial/reporting platforms is an asset</li><li>CPA preferred, though equivalent depth of experience will be considered</li></ul><p><strong>Interested?</strong></p><p>If you bring strong <strong>financial reporting and consolidation</strong> experience and can add value quickly in a complex environment, we’d welcome the opportunity to connect.</p>
