<p><strong>Job Description: Senior Accountant - Consolidations</strong></p><p><strong>Position Type:</strong> Contract (6 months)</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Mississauga, ON</p><p><strong>Work Arrangement:</strong> Hybrid (4 days on-site, 1 day remote)</p><p><strong>About the Role:</strong></p><p>Our client, a global industry leader, is seeking a Senior Accountant - Consolidations to join their dynamic finance team during an important transition phase. This role emphasizes working independently with large sets of data, focusing on consolidation activities, full-cycle accounting, and accurate financial reporting.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p> • Assist with consolidating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements</p><p> • Reconcile intercompany accounts, including elimination entries (group sales, within and across different companies), and ensure accurate reporting</p><p> • Manage FX adjustments and understand complex intercompany transactions</p><p> • Support financial statement preparation and compliance with IFRS and US GAAP standards</p><p> • Contribute to the transition and implementation of a new consolidation tool, including data validation and process alignment</p><p> • Perform account reconciliations, basic tie-outs, and provide insights through variance analysis</p><p> • Support full-cycle accounting task and general accounting activities as required</p><p> • Leverage Google Suite (Google Sheets, Docs, Slides) for collaboration and reporting</p>

<p><strong>Skills and Qualifications:</strong></p><p> • Post-secondary education in accounting; CPA designation or progress toward designation is an asset</p><p> • Thorough understanding of consolidation processes, including eliminations, intercompany transactions, and FX impacts</p><p> • Ability to interpret and explain the inter-relationship between Income Statement, Cash Flow, and Balance Sheet</p><p> • Advanced Excel skills: strong experience manipulating and analyzing large datasets using pivot tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF statements, data validation, and Power Query (Macro/VBA knowledge is a nice-to-have, not mandatory)</p><p> • Experience with SAP or similar ERP/consolidation systems</p><p> • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced setting</p><p><strong>Application Process:</strong></p><p> Apply now for immediate consideration!</p>
