We are looking for a detail-oriented Intermediate Accountant to join our team in Kitchener, Ontario. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with a strong background in general accounting and financial reconciliations. The role offers a hybrid work environment, requiring two days a week in the office, and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization. Responsibilities:• Conduct thorough reviews and verification of Accounts Payable transactions for customers.• Perform monthly general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.• Manage intercompany charges, including reconciliation processes.• Prepare and post journal entries while verifying transaction details for accuracy.• Handle accruals and prepaid expenses, ensuring proper accounting treatment.• Execute month-end adjustments in alignment with reporting deadlines.• Complete bank reconciliations efficiently and accurately.• Utilize SAP accounting systems and tools to maintain precise financial records.• Collaborate with team members to support financial audits and reporting requirements.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting roles with a focus on reconciliations and general accounting.• Proficiency in SAP accounting software system• Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and GL coding.• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a hybrid environment.• Solid analytical skills and the ability to manage month-end adjustments and journal entries.• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
