This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys coaching people, building efficient processes, and working with a broad client base while remaining within public practice.</p><p><br></p><p>If you are passionate about leadership, client service, and developing strong accounting teams, we’d love to hear from you.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You Will Be Doing</strong></p><ul><li>Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a large team of bookkeeping professionals.</li><li>Oversee workflow planning, resource allocation, quality control, and team performance.</li><li>Review bookkeeping files to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to firm standards.</li><li>Support staff development through training, coaching, and performance management.</li><li>Act as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery.</li><li>Manage priorities across multiple client engagements while maintaining deadlines.</li><li>Collaborate with firm leadership to improve processes, efficiencies, and client experience.</li><li>Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><strong>What We Are Looking For</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><strong>5–10+ years of progressive public accounting experience</strong> in a mid-sized or large public practice firm.</li><li><strong>Current supervisory or management experience</strong> leading accounting or bookkeeping professionals within a public practice environment.</li><li>Demonstrated success managing a portfolio of Canadian business clients, including organizations with <strong>annual revenues of approximately $15M+</strong>.</li><li>Strong experience overseeing multiple client engagements simultaneously in a public accounting setting.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of Canadian bookkeeping and accounting practices.</li><li>Experience working with <strong>British Columbia-based clients is essential.</strong></li><li>Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and people management skills.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.</li><li>Ability and willingness to work <strong>full-time on-site in Surrey, BC.</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Assets</strong></p><ul><li>CPA designation (or working toward completion).</li><li>Experience supporting clients across multiple Canadian provinces, particularly Alberta.</li><li>Experience implementing process improvements and developing high-performing teams.</li></ul><p><strong>Why Join Us?</strong></p><p>This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role where you’ll have a direct impact on both the success of your team and the experience of a diverse client portfolio.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>You Will Enjoy:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary of <strong>$90,000–$115,000</strong>, based on experience.</li><li>Comprehensive benefits package.</li><li>Opportunity to lead and shape a growing bookkeeping department.</li><li>Collaborative and supportive leadership team.</li><li>A flexible workday option in accordance with company policy.</li><li>Long-term career growth within a respected and growing public practice environment.</li></ul><p>If you are an experienced public practice leader who enjoys mentoring people as much as working with clients, we would love to connect with you.
