<p>Our client is a growing, well-capitalized Canadian organization entering an exciting phase of expansion. This is a unique opportunity to join a collaborative leadership team and play a key role in building a scalable finance function while supporting a variety of strategic business initiatives. This is a broad Controller position that extends well beyond traditional financial reporting. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to finance transformation, process improvement, systems optimization, acquisition activity, and the continued development of a high-performing finance organization.</p><p><br></p><p>The Opportunity:</p><p>Reporting to senior finance leadership, the Controller will oversee the organization's core financial reporting and controllership functions while partnering with leaders across the business to support continued growth. This role offers significant exposure to strategic initiatives and the opportunity to help shape the future of the finance function within a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.</li><li>Oversee the preparation of financial statements in accordance with IFRS.</li><li>Manage the annual external audit process and coordinate with auditors and advisors.</li><li>Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial reporting processes.</li><li>Prepare management reporting, financial analysis, budgets, and forecasts.</li><li>Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and scalability across the finance function.</li><li>Lead or support finance transformation projects, including ERP optimization, reporting enhancements, and automation initiatives.</li><li>Support strategic initiatives, including acquisition-related activities and business integration projects.</li><li>Partner with operational leaders to improve financial processes and support business decision-making.</li><li>Help build and develop the finance team as the organization continues to grow.</li><li>Participate in special projects and other initiatives as required.</li></ul>
