Data Analyst - Validation & Migration
<p><strong>Data Analyst - Data Validation &amp; Migration </strong></p><p><br></p><p>Our client is undertaking a significant enterprise transformation to consolidate multiple legacy billing systems into a modern billing platform. They are seeking a hands-on <strong>Data Analyst - Data Validation &amp; Migration </strong>to support data quality, migration preparedness, reconciliation, and validation activities throughout the implementation.</p><p>This role will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure critical customer, product, contract, invoice, and pricing data is accurate, complete, and migration-ready.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duration:</strong> Through December 2026, with potential extension</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Hybrid, Greater Toronto Area</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Assess and validate data from multiple legacy systems to identify quality issues, inconsistencies, duplicates, and gaps.</li><li>Analyze customer, product, contract, invoice, payment, credit, and pricing data to support migration activities.</li><li>Partner with business stakeholders to resolve data discrepancies and establish data governance rules.</li><li>Work closely with IT teams to define data requirements, validation criteria, and transformation rules.</li><li>Support data cleansing, normalization, and deduplication efforts.</li><li>Review and validate source-to-target mappings and migration outputs.</li><li>Perform reconciliation activities including record counts, balances, financial totals, and exception reporting.</li><li>Participate in migration testing, cutover preparation, and post-migration validation.</li><li>Maintain detailed documentation of data issues, remediation decisions, and validation results.</li><li>Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure successful migration outcomes.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Experience supporting large-scale data migration, ERP implementation, billing platform implementation, or systems transformation projects.</li><li>Strong background in data validation, data quality, reconciliation, and data analysis.</li><li>Experience consolidating data from multiple legacy systems into a common target platform.</li><li>Understanding of billing, order-to-cash, customer master data, subscription data, invoicing, pricing, contracts, payments, and related business processes.</li><li>Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into actionable data requirements.</li><li>Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze, cleanse, and validate large datasets.</li><li>Experience working with SQL and data extraction/validation activities.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Billing platform implementation experience.</li><li>ERP transformation or finance systems implementation experience.</li><li>Subscription-based, SaaS, telecom, media, or complex billing environments.</li><li>Data quality, master data, or migration-focused project experience.</li><li>Exposure to customer, product catalog, and revenue-related data structures.</li></ul><p><strong>What We&#39;re Looking For</strong></p><p>This role is ideal for a consultant who enjoys solving complex data challenges, working across multiple stakeholder groups, and ensuring critical business data is accurate and ready for migration.
