Controller
<p><strong>Position: </strong>Interim Controller</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Onsite, Cambridge, 5 days</p><p>Robert Half is a seeking a hands-on <strong>Interim Controller </strong>for a Cambridge manufacturing client to provide immediate leadership and support. This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who can step into a lean manufacturing environment, work independently, and execute day-to-day accounting responsibilities with minimal oversight. This role is 2-3 months in duration. </p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Lead and execute the month-end close process</li><li>Manage full-cycle accounting activities in a small, lean finance environment</li><li>Oversee manufacturing accounting, including inventory, COGS, and related reconciliations</li><li>Maintain financial accuracy, controls, and reporting during a period of transition</li><li>Partner directly with U.S.-based finance leadership on daily accounting and finance activities</li><li>Support continuity of operations while the company navigates both a permanent Controller search and active sale process</li><li>Roll up sleeves and handle the work personally rather than relying on a large team structure.</li></ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Prior experience as a <strong>Controller</strong> or <strong>Plant Controller</strong> in a manufacturing environment</li><li>Strong hands-on experience with <strong>month-end close</strong> and <strong>full-cycle accounting</strong></li><li>Deep understanding of <strong>inventory, COGS, and manufacturing accounting</strong></li><li>Comfortable operating independently in a very lean finance department</li><li>Ability to work effectively with both local operations leadership and U.S.-based finance leadership</li><li>Adaptable and comfortable joining a business undergoing ownership transition / sale process</li><li>Practical, execution-focused style with a willingness to be highly hands-on.</li></ul>
