Sales and Dispatch Manager

This is a hands-on leadership role that blends sales, operations, customer relationship management, and people leadership.</p><p><br></p><p>The successful candidate will have experience within the construction, ready-mix concrete, aggregates, building materials, or related industries and possess a strong hunter mentality with the ability to develop long-term customer relationships while ensuring operational excellence.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Sales &amp; Business Development</strong></p><ul><li>Partner with senior leadership to develop competitive pricing strategies and project quotations.</li><li>Manage existing key customer accounts while actively pursuing new business opportunities and projects.</li><li>Identify new markets and develop relationships to expand market share.</li><li>Build and maintain strong partnerships with contractors, developers, municipalities, and industry stakeholders.</li><li>Conduct customer visits, joint sales calls, and networking activities to strengthen business relationships.</li><li>Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and association meetings.</li><li>Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing to identify growth opportunities.</li><li>Maintain accurate sales activity, forecasting, and pipeline management using CRM software.</li></ul><p><strong>Leadership &amp; Operations</strong></p><ul><li>Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a team of drivers and dispatch personnel.</li><li>Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new employees as required.</li><li>Conduct ride-alongs, performance reviews, and ongoing coaching sessions.</li><li>Foster a positive, safety-focused culture built on accountability and exceptional customer service.</li><li>Collaborate with Operations and senior leadership to develop and execute daily operational plans.</li><li>Oversee dispatch activities to ensure efficient scheduling, routing, and customer deliveries.</li><li>Monitor fleet maintenance and equipment scheduling to ensure vehicles remain safe, reliable, and professionally maintained.</li><li>Participate in operational planning meetings to ensure production and delivery targets are consistently achieved.</li><li>Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Minimum 7 years of experience within construction, ready-mix concrete, aggregates, building materials, or a related industry.</li><li>Minimum 3 years of leadership experience managing teams.</li><li>Proven success in business development, account management, and growing customer relationships.</li><li>Experience overseeing dispatch, logistics, transportation, or field operations is considered a strong asset.</li><li>Mechanical aptitude and an understanding of heavy equipment and fleet operations.</li><li>Valid Class 3 Driver&#39;s Licence.</li><li>Existing relationships with contractors and industry contacts within the Fort St. John region are highly desirable.</li><li>Strong organizational, planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Experience utilizing CRM software; NetSuite experience is considered an asset.</li></ul><p>If this sounds like the role for you, please apply today!
