ML Developer Job Description

An ML Developer (Machine Learning Developer) focuses on designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and systems. This role involves translating machine learning prototypes into scalable, production-ready solutions that drive business value. Candidates must possess strong programming skills, a solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, data pipelines, and MLOps principles, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders. Typically, 3-5 years of experience in machine learning engineering or a related development role is expected. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field is generally required, with experience developing and deploying ML solutions within Canadian industry standards or regulatory frameworks considered a strong asset.

Typical ML developer duties:

Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms.Pre-process and analyze large datasets for model training and evaluation.Select and apply appropriate machine learning techniques based on project requirements.Develop and maintain machine learning pipelines for efficient model training and deployment.Integrate ML models into production systems (APIs, microservices).Monitor and evaluate the performance of deployed models, identifying areas for improvement.Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
