This role is a possible contract-to-permanent position, offering an opportunity to contribute to critical accounting functions while supporting financial operations. <p>We have partnered up with an organization in the San Jose area who has an immediate need for a Part Time Payroll Accountant. </p><p> </p><p>What We're Expecting:</p><ul><li>Prepare and submit paper payroll checks for employees</li><li>Collect banking information for direct deposit setup and initiate deposits on paydays</li><li>Reconcile the general ledger regarding payroll transactions</li><li>Handle quarterly payroll reporting for multiple clients (we do <em>not</em> process periodic payroll; only quarterly reports and annual W-2s).</li><li>Maintain client books in QuickBooks.</li><li>Assist with closing books, including preparation for tax filings..</li><li>Manage payroll reporting for companies ranging from 20 to 100 employees.</li></ul><p> </p>
