We are looking for an Accounting Manager to lead daily accounting operations across a portfolio of related businesses in Seattle, Washington. This position partners closely with senior leadership to deliver accurate financial reporting, maintain strong controls, and support sound business decisions. The role offers a clear path into broader financial leadership for someone who is ready to take ownership in a dynamic hospitality-focused environment. Responsibilities:• Guide and support the Accounting Assistant, providing direction on priorities, accuracy, and daily workflow.• Monitor cash activity across multiple related entities and help maintain an effective overall cash position.• Oversee the full accounts payable cycle, including invoice review, approval coordination, and timely disbursements.• Track receivables, evaluate aging reports, and follow up on outstanding balances to improve collections.• Compile monthly profit and loss reporting by consolidating financial data from several QuickBooks company files into Excel-based reporting.• Manage the month-end close process through reconciliations, journal entries, and review of general ledger activity.• Provide backup payroll coverage in Paylocity when needed to ensure timely and accurate processing.• Coordinate year-end accounting activities, assist with audit preparation, and assemble supporting schedules for external review.• Work closely with the General Manager and ownership to answer financial questions and present clear reporting insights.• Assume expanded Controller-level responsibilities over time through training and a hands-on transition process.
