We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting operations while adhering to US standards. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to process improvements and collaborate across departments in the food and food processing industry.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage accounting period close processes, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, conducting financial analyses, and maintaining compliance with internal controls.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth financial operations and adherence to organizational goals.<br>• Provide guidance on accounts receivable and accounts payable coding, and recommend procedural improvements to enhance department efficiency.<br>• Oversee the company's fixed assets and lease processes, identifying and implementing improvements where necessary.<br>• Assist in preparing audit schedules and supporting external audit requirements.<br>• Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of internal controls, policies, and compliance procedures in line with SOX 404 standards.<br>• Recommend and implement process enhancements using structured problem-solving techniques and data-driven insights.<br>• Utilize company tools and systems to streamline accounting tasks and ensure accuracy.<br>• Drive automation initiatives to improve internal accounting processes and support other assigned duties.
