<p>Our client in Rutherford is seeking an interim Accounting Manager for a 1-2 month engagement. This role involves leading and executing a variety of accounting functions to ensure precise financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring CPG industry expertise, technical proficiency, and a hands-on approach to support both operational and strategic accounting tasks. The role is onsite in Rutherford with a possible remote day and is expected to pay between $55-$75/hr. DOE.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Oversee and manage the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting</p><p>• Supervise accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance</p><p>• Perform and review bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, and other accounting reports</p><p>• Handle inventory accounting and fixed asset management with precision and adherence to policies</p><p>• Provide support for payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations</p><p>• Manage retail compliance licensing and reporting requirements for the organization</p><p>• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records</p><p>• Collaborate on financial statement audits by providing necessary documentation and insights</p><p>• Assist in implementing and maintaining accounting systems, ensuring optimal functionality</p><p>• Take a hands-on approach, performing staff and senior-level accounting tasks as needed</p>
<p>We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Napa County, California. In this role, you will oversee a variety of accounting functions and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial information. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage processes such as month-end close, compliance reporting, and payroll support.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Supervise and manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, including training, performance evaluations, and regular reviews.</p><p>• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and handle general ledger account reconciliations to maintain accuracy.</p><p>• Oversee cost accounting activities such as inventory tracking, reconciliation of external warehouses, and harvest accounting.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with winery reporting requirements, including sales tax payments, excise tax filings, and annual 1099 processing.</p><p>• Manage fixed asset accounting and file annual property tax statements accurately and on time.</p><p>• Provide support for the annual insurance renewal process and prepare schedules for external reviews.</p><p>• Analyze departmental workflows and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.</p><p>• Assist in various organizational projects as needed and ensure proper financial documentation is maintained.</p>
