This role requires 2-3 days per week in office in Incline Village. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team responsible for asset accounting for an investment company with energy related assets. The Sr Asset Accountant will be responsible for completing all necessary journal entries and account reconciliations to prepare monthly financial statements. Additionally, the Sr Asset Accountant will support Asset Management monthly budget versus actual variance analysis.<br><br>Responsibilities<br>• Prepare and/or review appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations<br>• Timely issuance of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for assigned assets<br>• Participate in annual external audits and complete assigned tasks<br>• Coordinate tax preparation with external parties<br>• Research accounting issues for compliance with US GAAP<br>• Support Asset Management and Plant Operations to ensure annual budget is produced timely and loaded into NetSuite<br>• Other duties as assigned<br>Experience and Skills<br>• BS in Accounting, Finance, or related degree<br>• 3 - 7 years plus of relevant work experience<br>• MBA, CPA designation a plus<br>• Knowledge of NetSuite, Microsoft Planner and Tipalti a plus<br>• Proficient in Microsoft Excel<br>• Strong written and verbal communication skills<br>The company offers a competitive base salary, bonus and equity potential in addition to strong health benefits, a 401k and 3 weeks of vacation.
