This role will oversee the day to day accounting, reporting to the CFO.</p><p><br></p><ul><li>Oversight of operational accounting which includes AP, AR, journal entries, g/l accounting, cash management</li><li>Managing accounting staff</li><li>Lead annual audit, prepare financial statements</li><li>Own monthly/quarterly/yearly close</li><li>Prepare 990</li><li>Handle reporting and management of federal funding/grants</li></ul><p><br></p>Tax Manager - Public<p>We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Tax Associate/Manager in the CPA Firm industry, based in Westwood, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be tasked with managing client relationships, overseeing the coordination of sales tax and bank statements, and improving the workflow of accounting and tax returns.</p><p><br></p><p><u>Duties & Responsibilities:</u></p><p>1) Oversee the Coordination and gathering of monthly sales tax and bank statements from clients</p><p>2) Develop a process to track and file sales tax on new clients. Review existing process and provide recommendation </p><p>3) Review clients bookkeeping using QuickBooks desktop or QuickBooks online and record journal entries</p><p>4) Contact clients to obtain missing information and go over client financials</p><p>5) Handle client phone calls and questions that arise during the year-with assistance of owner</p><p>6) Meet with assigned clients and prepare tax returns </p><p>7) Prepare and or review tax returns </p><p>8) Complete tax research as needed</p><p>9) Assist with various projects </p><p>10) Ensure that Simon is aware of all pending work that needs to be completed and schedule 1 hour meeting per week to go over pending items</p><p>11) Key member of the firm to implement solutions to improve the work flow of accounting and tax returns and tax planning</p><p>12) Be well organized and pay attention to detail</p><p>13) Be able to multi task and work independently</p>
