The Senior Internal Auditor will possess a deep understanding with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), particularly Part 31, and experience applying the Eichleay formula for overhead allocations. The auditor will review historical data to ensure all expenditures and records are in compliance with FAR 31, including allowable and unallowable expenditures. </p><p>This will include a detailed review of direct and indirect expenses tied to federally funded contracts, applying FAR Part 31 cost principles to identify and exclude unallowable costs, review and validate indirect cost rate schedules and supporting documentation, apply the Eichleay formula where applicable to calculate allowable overhead during periods of work suspension, prepare external audit-ready documentation and summaries for external review, coordinate with internal finance and project teams to ensure compliance and readiness.
