Role is onsite daily Monday - Friday, hours are 9-5.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Support the Development team with administrative tasks related to fundraising and membership operations</li><li>Assist with mailings, donor acknowledgements, and personalized correspondence</li><li>Draft first versions of donor letters and other written communications</li><li>Manage invoicing and general administrative workflows</li><li>Coordinate and maintain calendars, including scheduling support for a senior leader</li><li>Answer and route occasional phone calls in a professional manner</li><li>Assist with event support, including RSVP tracking, check-in, and coordination logistics</li><li>Help coordinate volunteers for events and departmental needs</li><li>Attend interdepartmental meetings and take notes in person as needed</li><li>Help maintain organized systems and ensure timely follow-up on action items</li><li>Anticipate administrative needs and proactively provide solutions</li></ul>
<p><strong>Temporary City Clerk</strong></p><p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (office is closed every other Friday). Occasional evening hours are required for City Council meetings and special events.</p><p>Our client is seeking an experienced <strong>City Clerk</strong> or closely related municipal professional to support legislative and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with City Clerk functions, public records, agenda management, and City Council meeting support. Candidates with closely related public sector experience may also be considered.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Prepare, compile, and distribute City Council agendas and meeting packets.</li><li>Attend City Council meetings and other public meetings, including evening meetings as needed.</li><li>Record, prepare, and maintain official meeting minutes.</li><li>Maintain ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other official records.</li><li>Process Public Records Act requests.</li><li>Coordinate legal notices, public hearings, and required publications.</li><li>Maintain records retention and document management systems.</li><li>Ensure compliance with the Brown Act, Public Records Act, and other applicable municipal regulations.</li><li>Provide administrative support to the City Clerk's office and assist internal departments and the public with records requests and inquiries.</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br></p>
