This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee financial operations within the paper and packaging manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing cost accounting, inventory processes, and procurement strategies, while ensuring accurate financial reporting and analysis.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee comprehensive financial processes including freight, logistics, procurement, and invoice management.<br>• Monitor and analyze inventory, raw materials, and commodity costs to ensure accurate valuation.<br>• Lead cost-saving initiatives and align financial strategies with procurement objectives.<br>• Supervise and guide two team members: a Career Program Analyst and an Inventory Tracking Analyst.<br>• Prepare and deliver detailed financial reports focused on procurement performance and operational metrics.<br>• Support organizational transformation efforts, such as transitioning to Oracle Fusion systems.<br>• Conduct month-end close processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial insights and operational improvements.<br>• Ensure accurate tracking of work-in-progress (WIP) and standard cost accounting.<br>• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel tools to streamline financial reporting and analysis.
