  • We are looking for an experienced financial reporting leader to join a banking organization in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role will guide regulatory and external reporting activities, strengthen reporting controls, and partner across finance and business teams to support accurate, timely disclosures. The position also offers the opportunity to lead a team while advising on complex accounting and reporting matters tied to new initiatives and transactions.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Lead the preparation, review, and submission of recurring external and regulatory reports, ensuring filings are completed accurately and delivered on schedule.<br>• Direct the completion of bank holding company reporting requirements, including capital-related submissions and other required regulatory schedules, while maintaining consistency across disclosures.<br>• Evaluate monthly and quarterly reporting packages used for internal management and external purposes, and support special analyses related to technical reporting questions and industry comparisons.<br>• Approve selected accounting entries after verifying supporting documentation, accuracy, and adherence to internal policies and control standards.<br>• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders on enterprise initiatives, product introductions, and complex transactions to determine reporting implications and establish appropriate accounting treatment.<br>• Develop, enhance, and oversee internal controls related to financial and regulatory reporting, and coordinate with audit teams to support efficient review cycles.<br>• Provide leadership, guidance, and prioritization for reporting staff, including reviewing workpapers and managing deadlines across the team.<br>• Communicate reporting issues, compliance considerations, and key conclusions clearly to leadership and business partners.
