<p>We are looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Registration Specialist on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth registration process of patients in a healthcare setting, providing excellent service and accurate data entry. This position is based in Three Rivers, Michigan, 3rd shift, 11pm-7am, 100% onsite and offers an opportunity to contribute directly to patient care and hospital operations.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Accurately register patients in the emergency department and other hospital areas, including inpatient and outpatient settings.</p><p>• Collect and input patient demographic, financial, and insurance information into the hospital's computer system.</p><p>• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility to ensure proper payment processing.</p><p>• Assist patients and families by gathering necessary information during the registration process.</p><p>• Prepare and manage registration forms, admissions paperwork, and other related documents.</p><p>• Collect co-pays and handle financial transactions with accuracy and professionalism.</p><p>• Provide clerical and administrative support to ensure efficient hospital operations.</p><p>• Escort patients to various areas of the hospital when needed.</p><p>• Track bed availability in the emergency department to maintain operational efficiency.</p><p>• Support transfer or discharge procedures and assist with medical records requests following organizational guidelines.</p>
