We are looking for an experienced Cost Accountant to join our team in Irving, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing inventory operations and ensuring the accuracy of cost accounting processes across multiple locations. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to collaborate across departments and contribute to the development of efficient procedures and reporting systems. Responsibilities: • Oversee inventory management across various locations, ensuring accurate counts, monitoring levels, and resolving discrepancies. • Conduct regular reconciliation and analysis between inventory systems and Workday to identify trends and potential improvements. • Collaborate with different departments to establish and maintain effective inventory control procedures. • Complete month-end closing duties, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparing financial reports related to inventory and cost of goods sold. • Provide support during internal and external audits concerning inventory and cost accounting. • Respond to store inventory inquiries and address help desk tickets promptly. • Develop and document policies and procedures for inventory and cost accounting operations. • Generate system reports and create custom queries or ad hoc reports as needed. • Ensure store attributes and vendor rebate programs are accurately maintained across all locations. • Work closely with the procurement team to align item and pricing data between inventory systems and Workday.
