This is a hands-on role that involves working closely with the President and a small, self-sufficient accounting team that includes Accounts Payable and Revenue Accounting.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>While the title is <em>Accounting Manager</em>, this position is best suited for someone who enjoys being in the details—a true “workhorse” role responsible for daily accounting operations, general ledger management, financial reporting, and tax preparation support.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close.</li><li>Prepare and analyze internal financial statements and reports for management.</li><li>Maintain cash activity and perform cash reconciliations.</li><li>Prepare annual workpapers and support documentation for external CPA firm during tax preparation.</li><li>Coordinate with external CPA on depletion, depreciation, and other adjusting entries.</li><li>Collaborate closely with AP and Revenue Accounting to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.</li><li>Participate in process improvements and maintain internal accounting controls.</li><li>Support ad hoc financial projects and reporting needs as they arise.</li></ul>
