The role offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on the organization&#39;s security posture while collaborating with technical and business teams across the enterprise.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Monitor security alerts, logs, dashboards, and telemetry across Microsoft security platforms to identify and respond to potential threats.</li><li>Manage, configure, and optimize Microsoft Defender security controls across enterprise environments.</li><li>Administer and enhance data protection and compliance capabilities using Microsoft Purview, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and eDiscovery solutions.</li><li>Develop, tune, and maintain custom detection rules, analytics, and alerting mechanisms to improve threat visibility.</li><li>Serve as a primary responder for cybersecurity incidents involving malware, ransomware, endpoint compromises, and related threats.</li><li>Conduct forensic investigations, root cause analyses, and post-incident reviews to strengthen security controls and reduce future risk.</li><li>Perform proactive threat hunting activities utilizing Microsoft Defender XDR and other security monitoring tools.</li><li>Analyze threat intelligence and emerging attack trends to identify risks relevant to the organization.</li><li>Track, prioritize, and support remediation efforts for software vulnerabilities and security weaknesses.</li><li>Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to implement security best practices, hardening standards, and risk reduction initiatives.</li><li>Prepare reports and metrics related to incident response, platform effectiveness, vulnerabilities, and overall security posture.</li><li>Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives and help promote a culture of security across the organization.</li></ul><p><strong>Additional Details</strong></p><ul><li>Work model: Primarily remote with occasional in-person collaboration as needed</li><li>Up to 10% domestic travel may be required</li><li>Opportunity to contribute directly to security strategy, operations, and continuous improvement initiatives</li></ul>
