The position combines traditional accounting responsibilities with project based initiatives that support organizational growth, operational efficiency, and strategic decision making. Approximately fifty percent of the role will focus on monthly close and accounting activities, while the remaining fifty percent will be dedicated to financial analysis, process improvements, and ad hoc projects.</p><p><br></p><p>The role will prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses. Responsibilities include managing daily operating transactions, assisting with intercompany activity, and supporting monthly close and GAAP financial reporting. The position will support internal and external audit requirements and work directly with auditors. Additional duties include processing and managing divisional loan requests, coordinating property tax filings, preparing and reviewing 1099s, supporting payroll related accounting, assisting with professional liability related accounting, completing required government surveys, managing escheatment and use tax compliance, and performing internal audit and controls related functions.</p><p>From a project and analysis perspective, the role will lead or support financial process improvement initiatives, perform deep dive financial analysis for divisions and special projects, assist with budget preparation and development, collaborate with FP and A and operational leaders, and support financial operations for new or evolving business lines.
