OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on IT Engineer to support and enhance critical banking and payment applications within a large enterprise financial services environment. This role is responsible for production support, engineering improvements, integrations, troubleshooting, and operational excellence across transaction-processing platforms.The ideal candidate will have experience supporting banking, payments, treasury, cash management, or other financial transaction processing systems. While direct wire payment application experience is highly preferred, candidates with broader banking and payment processing platform experience will also be considered.This is a highly technical role requiring strong expertise in SQL Server, SFTP/file transfer integrations, API integrations, application support, and production troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across applications, APIs, databases, file transfer processes, batch jobs, and infrastructure components.</li><li>Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term solutions to improve platform stability and resiliency.</li><li>Support and maintain integrations with internal applications and external vendors using APIs, SFTP, and batch processing.</li><li>Design, build, and support file-based integrations utilizing SFTP, PGP encryption, and enterprise scheduling tools.</li><li>Develop, support, and troubleshoot API-based integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML.</li><li>Support production releases, deployments, configuration changes, and system upgrades.</li><li>Maintain interfaces between payment applications and downstream systems, including core banking, digital channels, fraud, AML, GL, and data platforms.</li><li>Support system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and defect remediation activities.</li><li>Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.</li><li>Support modernization initiatives including API enhancement, automation, cloud adoption, and payment platform improvements.</li><li>Partner with Product, Operations, Infrastructure, and vendor teams to ensure reliable and secure transaction processing.</li></ul>*Please note: This role requires 3 days onsite/week in the Vinings area of Atlanta.
