Whoever fills this role is expected to be promoted quickly. </p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Description</strong></p><p>The desired candidate possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, is detail-oriented, well organized, and can manage competing priorities while meeting constant deadlines.</p><p>Specific job responsibilities</p><ul><li>Perform the accounts payable cycle to ensure timely payments of invoices to vendors, from receipt of invoices to finalizing payments, including:</li><li>Enter invoices into the accounts payable system (SAP Concur).</li><li>Gain the proper business and financial statement knowledge to administer accurate coding of each invoice, including expense categorization, approval workflow, and other applicable fields necessary for business reporting.</li><li>Assist with monitoring the accounts payable email inbox.</li><li>Prepare batch ACH and check runs, as well as wire transfers.</li><li>Ensure payment success and that all invoices are accounted for in the general ledger and the accounts payable system.</li><li>Investigate and resolve issues associated with invoice processing internally with business owners and externally with vendors.</li><li>Provide support during mergers and acquisitions, including assistance with integration of merger firm accounts payable processes and new vendor onboarding.</li><li>Communicate with vendors regarding payment status of invoices and other ad-hoc requests.</li><li>Review and approve employee expense reimbursement reports, including verification of mandatory documentation and expensing coding accuracy.</li><li>Review, code, and reconcile monthly corporate credit card transactions.</li><li>Assist with IRS 1099 compliance and reporting.</li><li>Assist with monthly tasks, including balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and determining appropriate accruals.</li><li>Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including depositing checks, posting receipts, and researching discrepancies.</li><li>General accounting assistance: scanning, organizing, and filing accounting documentation, opening and sorting mail for the accounting team.</li><li>Special projects or ad-hoc requests, as required.<strong> </strong></li></ul><p><br></p>
