This role requires a proactive approach to system management, security, and compliance, as well as the ability to contribute to strategic IT initiatives and projects.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage and maintain physical servers, including Dell and Nutanix hardware, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.<br>• Administer enterprise storage solutions such as Dell PowerScale and Pure Storage to support organizational data needs.<br>• Oversee hyperconverged infrastructure platforms, including Dell vxRail and Nutanix, to streamline operations.<br>• Implement and manage virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi, Nutanix, and Microsoft Hyper-V.<br>• Configure and secure networking equipment, including Fortinet and SonicWall firewalls, switches, and wireless systems.<br>• Monitor and manage endpoint security tools like SentinelOne and CrowdStrike to protect organizational assets.<br>• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions using platforms such as Rubrik, Cohesity, and Druva.<br>• Administer Windows Server environments, including failover clustering, and manage Linux systems such as Ubuntu and Debian.<br>• Manage cloud infrastructure on Azure and ensure integration with on-premises systems.<br>• Handle Microsoft 365 tools, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and EntraID, to support productivity and collaboration.
We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team on a contract basis in Schaumburg, Illinois. This role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, excels in managing system operations and security, and provides exceptional support to end users. The position offers a balanced mix of help desk responsibilities and systems administration tasks, requiring expertise in Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and other related technologies.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage and maintain Active Directory, including implementing security policies and configuring group policies.<br>• Administer Microsoft 365 security and compliance tools, including Intune, to ensure data protection and system integrity.<br>• Provide end-user support for Windows operating systems and Citrix technologies, addressing technical issues and resolving tickets.<br>• Harden server operating systems by applying local and network security measures.<br>• Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues to minimize downtime and improve performance.<br>• Collaborate with team members to enhance system functionality and implement best practices.<br>• Monitor and maintain AWS technologies for efficient cloud-based operations.<br>• Document processes and create guidelines for system maintenance and user support.<br>• Conduct regular assessments of system security and compliance to identify areas for improvement.<br>• Assist with the deployment and configuration of enterprise-level applications.
Job Functions:<br>· Manages infrastructure installation requests from initiation to closure<br>· Reports to the Infrastructure Manager. <br>· Supports building Power Downs/Single Sided Events.<br>· Certify infrastructure network connections and peripherals prior to handing off to DCS.<br>· Interface with the BAU team to provide any additional infrastructure<br>· Interface with the BU’s, Hines engineering.<br>· Coordinates work requests with electrical contractor to ensure all Service Levels are met.<br>· Provides detailed estimates of assigned projects, documents requirements through direct communication with other members of IT or Project Management team as well as interpretation of schematics and drawings.<br>· Create Tickets/TCMs & monitor for approval, Closeout/Cancel them once work is complete.<br>· Coordinate power remediation from start to completion.<br>· Assist with rack level capacity management and MOA monitoring.<br>· Participate in any and all meetings pertaining to BAU or projects INF work.<br>· Provides Root Cause Analysis reports regarding power issues.<br>· Coordinate the Infrastructure Installs including but not limited to the following:<br>• Survey for Power installs.<br>• Infrastructure & Rack installs.<br>• Survey for Infrastructure Cabling (Fiber and copper).<br>• New Data Center Build-outs.<br> <br>· Equipment Procurement:<br>• Responsible for the ordering of all infrastructure materials.<br>• Responsible for tracking Purchase Orders.<br>• Tracking Infrastructure Stock.
