We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to oversee and streamline accounts payable operations for our team in Wallingford, Connecticut. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to manage financial processes while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in invoice handling and payment execution. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in accounts payable and leadership. Responsibilities:• Supervise and manage daily accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.• Oversee coding of invoices to appropriate accounts, maintaining compliance with organizational standards.• Coordinate and execute check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments.• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounts payable systems.• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all financial transactions within the department.• Monitor accounts payable metrics and generate reports to support decision-making.• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve workflows.• Provide guidance and training to team members to maintain high performance standards.• Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements in all financial operations.• Identify and address issues within the accounts payable process to mitigate risks.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles. • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, including coding invoices and payment systems. • Proficiency in executing check runs and managing Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively. • Familiarity with process improvement techniques in financial operations. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to accounts payable.
