Logistics Analyst
We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Analyst to join a leading metal fabrication company in Troy, Missouri. This is a Contract-to-permanent position that involves managing logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, and inventory coordination across multiple plant locations. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a solid accounting background, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Schedule and oversee inbound and outbound truck shipments for multiple facilities.<br>• Manage the receiving, weighing, and documentation processes for raw materials.<br>• Perform calculations for tare rates, costing, and recosting, ensuring accuracy in reconciliations.<br>• Communicate with trucking companies daily to negotiate freight rates and coordinate shipments.<br>• Track freight expenses, approve invoices, and prepare monthly financial reports.<br>• Maintain optimal inventory levels and coordinate the movement of finished goods and raw materials.<br>• Create shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation for shipments.<br>• Provide office support, including supply management, vendor reporting, and processing FedEx shipments.<br>• Act as a backup for scale operations when required.<br>• Collaborate closely with accounting and operations teams to ensure data accuracy and enhance process efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business is preferred.<br>• At least 5 years of experience in logistics or office administration.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.<br>• Hazardous Materials Transportation Certification is required.<br>• Strong multitasking and organizational abilities with excellent communication skills.<br>• A detail-oriented, team-oriented approach with a humble demeanor.<br>• Ability to adhere to a business casual dress code.<br>• All candidates are required to undergo applicable screenings as part of the hiring process.
