<p>Mid to Senior Remote .NET Developer with skills in Aveva (formerly Wonderware), software development kit (SDK), C# and will be tasked with coming on as a "Sunset" .Net Developer Contract type employee to help our client phase out, maintain, and support an outgoing software platform while FTE staff architects a new platform for company use. This position does have the opportunity to convert over permanently given the fit and skill set to support the new sof</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core / .NET 6+</p><p>Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following SOLID principles and best practices</p><p>Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas (SQL Server)</p><p>Integrate and extend functionality using the AVEVA (formerly Wonderware) Software Development Kit (SDK), InTouch, System Platform, Historian, or OMI</p><p>Work with industrial protocols (OPC UA, OPC DA, SuiteLink, etc.) when interfacing with AVEVA products</p><p>Collaborate with SCADA engineers, automation teams, and frontend developers to deliver end-to-end solutions</p><p>Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and agile ceremonies</p><p>Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems</p><p>Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

<p>Required Skills & Experience:</p><p><br></p><p>5+ years of professional software development experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem</p><p>Strong proficiency in .NET Core / .NET 5+ (ASP.NET Core Web API, Entity Framework Core, etc.)</p><p>Advanced SQL Server skills (T-SQL, performance tuning, indexing strategies)</p><p>Hands-on experience with AVEVA (Wonderware) SDKs – especially ArchestrA, InTouch, Application Server, Historian Client, or OMI SDK</p><p>Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean architecture</p><p>Experience with version control (Git) and modern development workflows</p><p>Familiarity with RESTful API design and microservices architecture</p><p><br></p><p>Nice-to-Have Skills</p><p><br></p><p>Experience in industrial automation, SCADA, HMI, or manufacturing environments</p><p>Knowledge of AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA Edge, or AVEVA Plant SCADA</p><p>Front-end skills (Blazor, Angular, React, or JavaScript/TypeScript)</p><p>Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)</p><p>Cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)</p><p>Unit/integration testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, Moq, etc.)</p><p>Message queuing (RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, Kafka)</p><p><br></p><p>Qualifications</p><p><br></p><p>Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience</p><p>Excellent problem-solving and communication skills</p><p>Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment</p>
