We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Stuart, Florida for a Long-term Contract opportunity. This position will lead critical accounting activities, support reporting for leadership and ownership stakeholders, and help maintain an accurate and timely financial close process. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on experience with financial reporting and reconciliations, and the ability to guide a small accounting team in a fast-paced environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Direct monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities to ensure financial records are complete, accurate, and delivered on schedule.<br>• Prepare financial statements and related reporting packages for executives, board members, and private equity stakeholders, including clear written business summaries.<br>• Coordinate audit support by organizing requested documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and managing prepared-by-client deliverables.<br>• Review and reconcile general ledger accounts regularly to identify discrepancies, resolve issues, and strengthen financial accuracy.<br>• Provide day-to-day leadership and support to a small accounting team, helping prioritize work and maintain high performance standards.<br>• Utilize QuickBooks Online or Intuit Enterprise Suite to manage accounting processes, reporting, and financial data integrity.<br>• Compile supporting documentation and handle additional accounting and finance responsibilities as business needs evolve.<br>• Work onsite each day in Stuart, Florida to collaborate closely with internal teams and maintain operational continuity.

• 10+ years of progressive accounting or controllership experience.<br>• Strong background in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close management.<br>• Proven ability to prepare financial statements, executive reporting materials, and account reconciliations.<br>• Experience supporting external audits, including preparation of PBC documentation and audit schedules.<br>• Hands-on proficiency with QuickBooks Online and/or Intuit Enterprise Suite.<br>• Ability to lead and mentor a small accounting staff while remaining deeply involved in daily accounting operations.<br>• Experience in the aviation services industry is preferred.<br>• Familiarity with private equity reporting environments is a plus.
