We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in South Gate, California. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact through leadership and technical accounting expertise. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in financial management, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to drive process improvements within the construction industry.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.<br>• Develop and maintain internal controls to uphold compliance with U.S. accounting standards.<br>• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering growth and team collaboration.<br>• Collaborate with executive leadership to provide strategic financial insights and reporting.<br>• Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.<br>• Coordinate with external auditors and accountants to ensure thorough and accurate reviews.<br>• Support budgeting, forecasting, and perform detailed variance analysis.<br>• Manage the transition from QuickBooks to a more advanced accounting system that incorporates job costing and product cost tracking.

• CPA designation is strongly preferred.<br>• Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 4–6 years in public accounting or 6+ years in industry roles (construction or manufacturing preferred).<br>• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial operations.<br>• Proven ability to lead and supervise teams effectively.<br>• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with excellent communication capabilities.<br>• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar tools.<br>• Familiarity with cost accounting, including job costing and manufacturing variance analysis.<br>• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation.
