Data Entry Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented Data Entry Clerk to support mortgage documentation activities for a Contract position based in Sandy Spring, Georgia. This role focuses on maintaining accurate loan-related records, coordinating document handling, and ensuring completed files are properly reviewed and routed. The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to communicate professionally with clients and closing partners.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Enter and update loan and collateral information with a high degree of accuracy across assigned records and files.<br>• Examine executed notes, security instruments, and closing packages to confirm completeness and identify discrepancies before further processing.<br>• Prepare required allonges for shipped notes and ensure supporting documentation is assembled correctly.<br>• Coordinate delivery of notes and related collateral documents to the appropriate warehouse bank in a timely manner.<br>• Track outstanding closing packages and follow up on missing documentation when files have not been received within established timeframes after funding.<br>• Receive, sort, and process trailing documents, then forward completed items to designated third-party vendors.<br>• Maintain organized document workflows through scanning, filing, and status updates to support efficient record management.
• Prior experience in data entry or document processing, preferably within a mortgage or financial services environment.<br>• Familiarity with Encompass is preferred.<br>• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.<br>• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients, closing agents, and internal stakeholders.<br>• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review documentation for accuracy and completeness.<br>• Solid organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.<br>• Proficiency in typing, numeric data entry, and basic scanning tasks.
