Financial Leadership & Strategy • Serve as the primary finance business partner to the executive team and department heads • Lead the development and execution of financial strategy aligned with company growth objectives • Drive key financial initiatives including margin enhancement, working capital optimization, and capital allocation decisions • Prepare and present executive-level financial reviews, forecasts, and strategic analyses Accounting & Financial Reporting • Oversee and compile general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial statement preparation (GAAP) • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting • Maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies/procedures • Manage external audit relationship and serve as primary contact for auditors Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis • Lead annual budgeting process and ongoing rolling forecasting • Develop comprehensive financial models to support pricing, customer profitability, and new business opportunities • Provide variance analysis, KPI tracking, and actionable insights to operational leadership Treasury & Cash Management • Manage daily cash position and liquidity planning • Oversee credit & collections policies and performance in a high-volume distribution environment • Optimize working capital (AR, AP, inventory turns) Tax & Compliance • Oversee federal, state, and local tax compliance and planning (including sales/use tax across multiple jurisdictions) • Coordinate with external tax advisors and ensure timely filing of all returns • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and lender requirements Team Leadership • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting and finance professionals (5–10) direct/indirect reports) - Sr Staff Accountant, AR Supervisor (2 AR Clerks & 2 Admins, and 1 Route Reconciliation Asst) in San Marcos - 1 AR Clerk & 1 Route Reconciliation Asst in Los Angeles • Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
